Established in 2016 by Gerry Griffin, By George! is a talented band of good friends that celebrate the music of the late, great songwriter and guitar player, George Harrison.
By George! proudly performs George's music ranging from the beginning of his career with the Quarrymen to the Beatles (of course) to the super group, the Traveling Wilburys to his amazing and loved solo catalog. You don't want to miss By George!'s live shows as we faithfully recreate George's songs, many well-known and some not-so-well known.

Gerry has been playing the bass guitar and singing in bands in the New York/ New Jersey area for over 40 years. Gerry is also an audio engineer (studio & live sound), producer, pro audio salesperson and even spent time as the artist relations guy for Eventide, a manufacturer of high end audio effects processors.
Gerry Griffin
In addition to being a founding member of By George!, Billy is also a founding member of the Fabulous Flemtones who have been performing the last Friday of every month for the past 40 years at Tierney's Tavern in Montclair NJ. Billy is a very in-demand guitar player and vocalist, so we're fortunate to have him on stage with By George!.
Billy Karcher
Tommy has also been performing in bands in the New York/ New Jersey area for over 45 years and has been the drummer for the Fabulous Flemtones for the past five years. Tommy's drumming and vocals are an essestial part of the By George! experience.
Tommy Monaghan
Scotty has been performing in bands in the New York/ New Jersey area for a long time. Scotty and Gerry started playing together in 1975. Scotty also performs with the Gutter Kings, a northern NJ classic rock cover band. Scotty's guitar playing and sense of humor are important ingredients to By George!'s success and fun attitude.
Scotty Cumming
Steve is an amazing keyboardist who can easily handle every song that's thrown his way. When he's not banging on a keyboard, he adds essential elements to the music when he's playing the cowbell or other hand percussion. Steve's contribution to By George! really helps add a high level of authenticity to our performances.
Steve Runyon
Tony is the newest member of By George! Tony's vocals and acoustic guitar give that extra special touch to George's material. When he's not performing with By George!, Tony can be seen gigging with Scotty and the Gutter Kings at many New Jersey bars and clubs. Tony has been a very welcome addition to the band.
Tony Fernandez
As a founding member of By George!, Jack has been there since the beginning. Though he's officially "retired" from the band, we can still lure him away from the Jersey Shore occasionally to help us out. Jack is a talented multi-instrumentalist who is always welcome on stage with By George!.
